Silverstone Investment Network
Silverstone Investment Network was launched in February 2006 and is a business angel network for Northamptonshire, focusing on innovative companies from the motorsport and other business sectors.
Silverstone Investment Network aims to match the county’s rich entrepreneurial base with local business angel investors.
Silverstone Investment Network was established by Oxford Innovation, following the continuing success of its other angel networks, including Oxfordshire Investment Opportunity Network (OION), which regularly closes deals of between £200,000 and £2m.
The Network’s supporters share a common objective of encouraging economic development in Northamptonshire and the Motorsport Valley through the growth of early stage technology-based businesses - the generators of employment and prosperity in the Midlands region.
Silverstone Investment Network was established by Oxford Innovation, which provides services to innovative start-ups. It is the UK’s leading operator of innovation centres, offering office and lab premises on flexible terms combined with business advice. Oxford Innovation also manages business support and economic development projects. It specialises in partnerships with universities, economic development bodies, local and regional Government and property owners.
